Where Inspector Montalbano ate
The signature restaurant is Enzo a Mare, on the seafront of Punta Secca, a short walk from the inspector’s famous house. This is where, on screen, Montalbano sits at his favourite table and orders the catch of the day, often with his colleagues or his fiancée Livia. Ragusa-style seafood cuisine: raw fish, pasta with sardines, fried fish and, of course, freshly caught fish.

The legendary dishes of the series
The real culinary star of Montalbano is humble, generous Sicilian cooking. Not to be missed:

Punta Secca is the heart, but the fictional “Vigàta” is a mosaic of Ragusa-area towns: Scicli (the police station and town hall), Ragusa Ibla with its Baroque backdrops, Modica and the beaches of Sampieri. A weekend is enough to combine the sea, UNESCO Baroque and great food.
